History of NEISEC

The Northeast Indiana Special Education Cooperative was established in 1970 to develop programs that would meet the needs of our students with disabilities.  The Cooperative was formed through collaboration between superintendents in rural Northeast Indiana. Our mission statement, a reflection of the commitment of our founding superintendents,  remains the same today:

"Through a cooperative effort, every student learns, grows and is valued."

Currently we provide services for approximately 4400 students. We provide the full continuum of services that range from consultation, inclusion in the classroom with support, pull out services and self contained classrooms.

We pride ourselves in the positive collaboration between our communities, administrators, teachers, parents, and students to ensure that every student learns, grows and is valued.
